Singer, Israel Joshua

   Polish Yiddish novelist and playwright, brother of Isaac Bashevis Singer and Esther Kreitman. He was born in BLgoraj, Poland, and lived in Warsaw and Kiev. He settled in the US in 1937. His writings include Yoshe Kalb and The Brothers Ashkenazi.
